Review Date: Dec 2025
Introduction
Om3ga Limited recognises the urgent need to take meaningful action against climate change. As a responsible organisation operating within the construction industry, we are committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, aligning with UK Government legislation and international climate targets.
This Net Zero Policy outlines our commitment and sets out the roadmap by which we intend to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency, and promote sustainable business practices across all aspects of our operations.
Policy Statement
We commit to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, in line with Science-Based Targets (SBTi) wherever applicable. Our approach will be transparent, measurable, and continuously improved upon, supporting both global climate efforts and our stakeholders’ sustainability ambitions.
Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to:
All Om3ga Limited operations, including offices, project sites, and supply chain engagements.
Direct (Scope 1), Indirect (Scope 2), and Value Chain (Scope 3) emissions.
All employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders engaged in Om3ga Limited’s projects.
Net Zero Roadmap
Phase 1: Establishing the Baseline (Current – Year 1)
Complete a full carbon footprint assessment across Scopes 1, 2, and key Scope 3 emissions.
Set measurable interim targets aligned with achieving Net Zero by 2050 (or earlier where feasible).
Identify “quick wins” for immediate emissions reductions.
Phase 2: Reducing Emissions (Years 2 – 10)
Implement operational efficiencies to minimise energy use on construction sites and offices.
Transition our company vehicle fleet to Ultra-Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) and electric vehicles where practicable.
Increase reliance on renewable energy sources for office and site power needs.
Engage our supply chain partners to promote low-carbon materials and sustainable procurement practices.
Phase 3: Offsetting Residual Emissions (Years 10+)
For emissions that cannot yet be avoided, we will use credible carbon offset schemes that support global carbon reduction and biodiversity initiatives.
Regularly review offset strategies to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Phase 4: Continuous Improvement & Reporting
Monitor, review, and publicly report progress against targets annually.
Update our Net Zero Strategy at least every 3 years to reflect changes in technology, legislation, and stakeholder expectations.
